Will slab lifting fix the cracks too, or just the settling?
Lifting closes the gap and levels the surface, but it won't erase an existing crack. Some hairline cracks tighten up once the slab is supported evenly again. Wider structural cracks may need a separate patch after the lift.
How long does a lifted slab stay level?
Most lifted slabs hold their new position for years, sometimes a decade or more, depending on how the soil underneath continues to move. Clay soil that keeps shifting can cause a slab to settle again eventually, same as it did the first time.
What's the best way to lift a sunken slab without breaking it?
